Fruit & Veggie Oxygen Wash

Diluted hydrogen peroxide – yup, the same stuff you use to clean cuts - works brilliantly for washing produce. Simply spray or dunk produce for clean, fresh results.

YIELD: 1 quart

Ingredients

3 cups filtered water

1 cup 3-percent hydrogen peroxide

Procedure

Mix the water and hydrogen peroxide together in a spray bottle or bowl, depending on how you want to use it.

To Use

Spray Tonic: Spray it on fruits and veggies. Scrub if appropriate (like cucumbers, apples, potatoes and the like). Rinse well and carry on.

Dunk Tonic: Dunk, swish and scrub as desired. Place veggies in a colander or strainer that fits inside the bowl or pot for easy draining and allow you to use the same batch of tonic multiple times.
