Flu Buster Tonic

This tonic has a kick! Great for knocking back an assault on the immune system and stimulates circulation.  Smart, home-made version of expensive tincture formulas sold in natural food stores.

Yields: about 4 oz. (8 doses, 1 tablespoon each)


4 ounces apple cider vinegar
1-2 cloves garlic (optional)
1/4 cup finely shredded ginger, squeezed to extract juice
2 teaspoons wasabi powder, or more
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper, or more
2-4 tablespoons raw honey
dilute with apple juice or filtered water if desired


Blend apple cider vinegar, garlic and ginger until smooth. Pour through a fine strainer.
Return to blender and add wasabi, cayenne and honey. Blend until thoroughly mixed.


Serve 1/2 oz to 1 oz at a time on an empty stomach.
Add to 1 cup hot water for a warming tonic.


Store in a glass jar in the refrigerator.
